Product Description

Canine Crp C Reactive Protein Test Based On Lateral Flow Immunochromatographic Assay

Application:

cCRP Antigen Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the semi-quantitative detection of CRP antigen in canine’s whole blood and serum or plasma.

Description:

cCRP Antigen Rapid Test Cassette is based on lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test cassette has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample well on the cassette, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough CRP antigen in the sample, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. By this means, the cassette can accurately indicate the presence of CRP antigen in the sample.

How to use?

  • Collect canine’s fresh whole blood, and separate serum or plasma from blood as soon as possible to avoid hemolysis. Only use clear, non-hemolyzed specimens. Do not leave the specimens at room temperature for prolonged periods. Serum and plasma specimens may be stored at 2-8 °C for up to 3 days. For long term storage, serum and plasma specimens should be kept below -20°C.
  • Place the test cassette on a clean and level surface.
  • Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 2 drops of sample (approximately 50 μl) and immediately add 2 drops of buffer (approximately 50 μl) into the specimen well (S), then start the timer. See illustration above.
  • Read the result in 5-10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
CRP, as an acute phase protein in vivo, is a normal component with a  low level in the blood. When there are bacterial infections, active lesions
and extensive tissue damage in vivo, CRP is rapidly increased. When CRP is more than 10mg/L, it indicates infection, mild and moderate
bacterial infection usually has only a low or moderate level of elevation, and more than 50mg/L indicates widespread infection.
The presence of “C” line indicates a valid result. The CRP test can be run in between 1 μg/mL and 200 μg/mL. Read the result by
comparing the color intensity of the “T” line with the standard color card provided.
Positive: The presence of both “C” line and zone “T” line. T line at G3 or G4 is considered as positive.
Negative: The presence of both “C” line and zone “T” line. T line at G1 or G2 is considered as negative.
Invalid:No colored line appears in C zone, regardless of T line’s appearance.
