Application:

Toxo IgG/IgM Antibody Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/ Serum/Plasma) is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection Toxoplasma antibody (Toxo IgG/IgM Ab) in animal’s whole blood or serum and plasma.

Description:

Toxo IgG/IgM Antibody Rapid Test Cassette is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test cassette has a testing window. The testing window has two invisible Test zones (IgG/IgM) and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample well on the cassette, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough Toxoplasma IgG/IgM antibody in the sample, a visible line will appear in IgG/IgM zone. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. By this means, the cassette can accurately indicate the presence of Toxoplasma IgG/IgM antibody in the sample.

How to use:

• Collect fresh whole blood, or separate serum or plasma from blood as soon as possible to avoid hemolysis. Only use clear, non-hemolyzed specimens. Do not leave the specimens at room temperature for prolonged periods. Serum and plasma specimens may be stored at 2-8 °C for up to 3 days. For long term storage, serum and plasma specimens should be kept below -20°C.
• Place the test cassette on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and Transfer 1 drop of sample (approximately 40 μl) and immediately add 3 drops of buffer (approximately 80 μl) into the specimen well (S), then start the timer. See illustration above.
• Read the result in 5-10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Positive: Two or three lines appear. One colored line should always appear in the control line region (C) and another one or two apparent colored line(s) should be in the test line region(s) (IgM and/or IgG).

IgM Positive: A colored line appears in control region (C), another colored line appears in IgM region. It indicates an IgM positive test
result for antibodies to Toxoplasma.

IgG Positive: A colored line appears in control region (C), another colored line appears in IgG region. It indicates an IgG positive test
result for antibodies to Toxoplasma.

Negative: Only clear C line appears. No line appears in the test line regions (IgM and IgG).

Invalid: No colored line appears in C region, no matter whether T line appears.
